Another idea I had for a comic, a biography of Andrew Dice Clay, as if he wrote it. It was a difficult thing to sell to anyone and there were so many legal issues that it wasn’t even worth it. But if you read this in the Diceman’s voice, it isn’t so bad.Only two pages.
Picture of the Diceman from his 1987 Rodney Dangerfield’s appearance. He wears his trademark shades, leather jacket and big belt buckle.
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider,
And sat down beside her and said,
Yo, what’s in the bowl bitch?
CAPTION 2: RODNEY DANGERFIELD’S, 1987. THE DICEMAN WAS BORN.
A shot of DUCKIE (Jon Cryer) and the Diceman from Pretty In Pink.
CAPTION: DID YOU KNOW THE DICEMAN WAS IN PRETTY IN PINK? THE ONE WITH MOLLY RINGWALD? BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT, HUH? BUT THAT’S WHY YOU’RE READING THIS FUCKIN’ THING, RIGHT?
A tiny version of the Diceman sits on a curb in Brownsville, Brooklyn, looking up at the skyline of New York City.
CAPTION: THE TRUTH IS THE DICEMAN IS JUST A CHARACTER. THE REAL GUY, ANDREW CLAY SILVERSTEIN, WAS JUST A KID FROM BROOKLYN.
CAPTION 2: HANDSOME DEVIL THOUGH, AIN’T HE?
Panel 2, 3, 4, 5: COLLAGE SHOT
Each panel shows one of the shows Andrew Clay appeared on before being successful; MASH, Diff’rent Strokes (as Crazy Larry), Making the Grade starring Judd Nelson, and Private Resort starring Johnny Depp.
CAPTION: I WAS EVERYWHERE IN THE 80’S. M*A*S*H, DIFF’RENT STROKES, CRIME STORY, MAKING THE GRADE, PRIVATE RESORT AND OF COURSE PRETTY IN PINK.
